Infrastructure Accountability for Nigeria
Making public infrastructure problems visible, trackable, and solvable — across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
What is FixNaija?
FixNaija is Nigeria's civic accountability and budget transparency platform. It enables citizens to post public infrastructure failures — broken roads, collapsed classrooms, non-functional health facilities, failed water systems — with geo-tagged photographic and video evidence.
Every post enters a public status timeline that is visible to the posting citizen, the responsible government authority, and the general public. Government officials receive posts through a dedicated portal, update statuses with supporting documentation, and are held accountable by an automated escalation engine that elevates unresolved issues through Local Government, State, and Federal tiers.
FixNaija also provides a public Budget Explorer that links official government budget allocations to citizen posts, creating a transparent, verifiable connection between public spending and infrastructure outcomes.

For the Nation
Data-driven governance and transparent public spending at national scale.
Measurable Accountability
For the first time at national scale: every posted problem is tracked, every government response is timestamped, and every resolution is verified by citizens on the ground.
Open Data
Researchers, journalists, and civil society organizations can access trend data, geographic analyses, and budget correlation data to inform public discourse.
Budget vs. Reality
Link specific budget allocations to citizen-submitted posts. When billions are allocated for a road and citizens post nothing done, the gap is visible to everyone.
Citizen Verification
When a government official marks a post as “Resolved,” nearby citizens are notified and asked to confirm or dispute the claim. False completions are flagged and escalated.
How It Works
1. Post
A citizen identifies an infrastructure problem, photographs the evidence, selects a category and severity level, and submits a geo-tagged post through the platform.
2. Track
The post enters a public timeline: Submitted, Received, Under Review, In Progress, Resolved. Every status change is timestamped, attributed, and visible to all.
3. Resolve & Verify
Government officials update the status with documentation. Nearby citizens confirm or dispute the resolution. Only citizen-verified completions are marked as Closed.
